Position Title: Director of Information Company: Mode Renovation Location: Corona, CA (On-site / Hybrid) Reports To: Ryan Keen, Owner Company Size: $35M+ annual revenue | ~120 team members About Mode Renovation At Mode Renovation, we are built on rapid growth, efficiency, and operational excellence. Generating over $35 million in revenue with a team of 120+, we are modernizing every corner of our business. To lead our next phase of growth, we are hiring a Director of Information to take complete ownership of our tech stack, hardware infrastructure, system integrations, cybersecurity, and future AI capabilities—and to build our internal technology department from the ground up. The Role This is a high-impact leadership role for an operational builder. You will be the sole owner of everything connected to Wi-Fi, from the field iPads in our installers' hands to our enterprise software stack. Currently, our technology direction is managed directly by executive leadership. We need a seasoned technical builder who can take the reins, establish foundational systems, evaluate our existing architecture, optimize integrations, and recruit, hire, and manage the IT and systems team underneath them as Mode Renovation continues to scale. Key Responsibilities Department Building & Leadership Build from the Ground Up: Establish IT operations, ticketing workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and service-level agreements (SLAs) from scratch. Team Recruitment & Management: Recruit, hire, and mentor support staff (helpdesk technicians, system admins, Salesforce admins) to take over day-to-day ticketing, user onboarding, and hardware maintenance. Strategic Roadmap: Transition Mode Renovation from founder-led tech management to a structured, scalable technology organization aligned with business revenue goals. System Architecture & Integrations Full Stack Ownership: Manage, optimize, and maintain our enterprise platform stack, including Salesforce, One Click Contractor, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft 365 / Outlook. Integration Strategy: Build seamless, reliable data flows between field operations, sales platforms, and back-office financial tools. AI & Future Tech: Identify and execute opportunities to leverage AI tools to streamline internal workflows, automate routine tasks, and drive operational efficiency. Hardware & Device Management Mobile Device Management (MDM): Oversee, configure, and manage all field devices (iPads, tablets, phones) used by field operations and installers. Office Infrastructure: Own local hardware including office workstations, network infrastructure, printers, and connectivity across locations. Cybersecurity & Compliance Establish and enforce security protocols across all remote devices, cloud systems, and internal networks. Implement user access controls, identity management, and data protection policies across all business units. Key Qualifications Team-Building Track Record: Demonstrated experience building, structuring, and leading an IT or Systems team from the ground up in a growing mid-market organization. Experience: 5+ years of progressive technology leadership experience (e.g., Senior Systems Administrator, IT Manager, or IT Director). Core Tech Stack Proficiency: Hands-on experience or administrative mastery of Salesforce, cloud accounting platforms (Sage Intacct), sales execution tools (One Click Contractor), and Microsoft 365. Mobile & Network Management: Proven experience with MDM (Mobile Device Management) for deploying and securing field devices (iPads/iOS). Location: Based in or near Corona, CA with the ability to work on-site as needed to support office infrastructure and operational teams.
